More than 50% of the pet dog population will not succeed in or enjoy group style, off leash daycare. Paws Canine Activity Center was designed with these dogs in mind.

An exciting new option for dogs who need more than what traditional dog daycare can offer! Enrichment daycare is a specialized form of dog daycare that goes beyond providing basic playtime. It focuses on offering various activities and experiences that stimulate a dog’s mind and body, catering to their natural instincts and promoting overall well-being.

Who is our Ideal Candidate?

Dogs who are nervous around large groups of high energy dogs.
Dogs who become a little too overstimulated or lack self control in traditional dog daycare.
Dogs who are not spayed/neutered.
Dogs who have aged out of group play but are still looking for a fun and enriching day away from home.
Owners who are looking for a more structured envrionment for their dog.

What does a day at Paws look like?

We believe a productive day includes elements of Play, Exercise, and Mental stimulation!

A Full Day at Paws includes one or two activities from each P-E-T category. Each activity ranges in length from 10-30 minutes.

Free Play with Toys, including fetch, tug, etc.
Small Group Socials if Eligible*

*Group socials are dependent on the other dogs in attendance and the matchups that are available that day. They are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of the staff each day.

Rest Breaks Between Activities

Downtime to keep your dog relaxed and happy. Fresh water is always available, and potty breaks are given several times per day in our outdoor fenced & turfed play yard.

Requirements For Attendance

1. Dogs must have completed a Meet & Greet evaluation prior to attending.
2. Must be current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella.
3. Must be crate-trained and have no human-reactivity issues.
4. Credit Card stored on file for billing.
5. Reservations required for attendance.

Drop off: 7am-10am

Pick up: 3pm-6pm

Available Mon – Fri.

Rates:

1 Full Day – $49

Ideal for 1x weekly or less.

10 Full Days – $465

Ideal for dogs who attend 2x weekly

20 Full Days – $882

Ideal for dogs who attend 3+ times per week

All Discount Packages (10 or 20 credits) are valid for 60 days from purchase,

and must be used within that timeframe. Packages are non-refundable.

About Us

Paws Canine Activity Center was opened in 2023 by cousins Dan & Mallory Poirier. After founding and operating Buffalo’s largest Dog Daycare, Boarding, Grooming, & Training facility for over a decade, they learned that daycare isn’t a one-size-fits-all. Many dogs, for a variety of reasons, don’t succeed in the traditional, large-group, off leash daycare environment. Some dogs are shy or fearful, some are too exuberant which can cause safety concerns, and some are intact (not spayed / neutered). After owning dogs themselves who disliked group-style daycare, and having no option but to leave them home during the day, they knew an alternative option was needed for the dogs of WNY.

At Paws, dogs participate in various activities throughout the day, which are selected based on each dog’s individual preferences. They can play, work their mind, and burn that excess energy during a structured, individualized day away from home!
